Facebook profile vs a Facebook page?

What is the difference?

A Facebook profile is your personal account, used to connect with friends and manage your activity on Facebook. A Facebook page, on the other hand, is specifically designed for businesses, brands, or public figures. Social AI requires a Facebook business page linked to your personal profile.

You may have set up a Facebook business profile instead of a page. To use Social AI, you’ll need a Facebook business page. Follow the steps below to check if you already have one or create a new one:

Here’s how to check or create a business page:

  • Log in to your personal or business Facebook profile on a computer.
  • In the left-hand menu, click Pages.
  • If your business page is listed, you’re all set!
  • If not, create a Facebook Business Page by following the prompts.
  • Once your page is set up, proceed to link it to your Instagram account.

Step 2: Link Your Instagram Account to Your Facebook Page

  • Once your Facebook business page is set up, you’ll need to connect your Instagram account to it:
  • Ensure your Instagram account is a professional (business) account. If not, during this process Instagram will prompt you to update it.
  • Log into Facebook on a computer.
  • In the top right, click your profile photo and select See All Profiles. Choose your business page.
  • Navigate to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Permissions > Linked Accounts.
  • Under Instagram, click Connect Account and follow the prompts.
